Narvarte Taco Tour: The Night Shift
Late-night energy. Smoky, satisfying, and always worth one more bite.
Overview
Narvarte comes alive when the sun goes down: smoky grills, bright lights, and that perfect mix of chaos and charm. This isn't a polished food crawl; it's where the city eats when it's off the clock. From sizzling ribs to the city's best suadero, this tour is all about flavor, rhythm, and stories that taste better after dark.
What We'll Eat
and Why It Flows This Way
Costilla Taco
Grilled over open coals since the 1950s, these chipped rib tacos are smoky, juicy, and old-school perfect. Add cheese, salsa verde, and lime. That's the move.
Suadero / Campechano
Suadero simmered in its own fat, paired with spicy longaniza for that signature CDMX combo. Heavy, rich, and the heartbeat of the night.
Tacos al Pastor
Some of the best pastor you'll have in the city, shaved straight off the trompo. Try it classic, or as a gringa with melted cheese on flour. Hot, fast, and quintessentially CDMX.
Late-Night Adventure
The wild card, a go-to kind of spot, whether it's arrachera, chorizo, cochinita, or something else entirely. You won't know which one until we make the turn.
Bar Stop
Narvarte's loaded with mezcalerías and brewpubs. We'll head that way to finish the night with good drinks and better company.

When to Go
After dark, that's when Narvarte wakes up. 6pm, 7pm, even later if you want. Neon signs, sizzling grills, and the soundtrack of a city eating its feelings (in the best way). If you're in the mood to skip the fancy stuff and just eat like a local, this is the one.
The Final Bite
Narvarte's the part of CDMX most tourists never see. No influencer walls, no "best-kept secret" clickbait, just real tacos, real people, and a reminder that sometimes the best nights are the ones you didn't plan.
